I just want to personally thank each one of you (90k) for such an incredible year! The traditional Bhandani technique is a tie and dye resist method which is similar to the Japanese Shibori technique. Each shape is composed by plucking the cloth with the fingernails into many tiny bindings that form a figurative design. The bindings resist colour during the indigo dyeing process. The art of Bandhani is a highly skilled and labour intensive way of producing patterned textile.
